Valdosta- The Turner County Lady Rebels have set their goal for the last twelve months and that goal is very simple. The goal has been to make it back to Macon for another shot at that elusive state championship. After Thursday’s 56-42 victory over Telfair County at Valdosta State, they are one step away from that goal.

Jumping out to a big lead over an opponent they had already defeated three times earlier in the season, the Lady Rebels found themselves with a 29-16 lead at the half despite having two starters get into foul trouble in the second quarter. Some sloppy play by the Lady Rebels also kept the lead from growing to a much larger margin.
With the victory, the Lady Rebels (29-0) advance to the Final Four where they will take on Wheeler County at 3:00 on Saturday afternoon
at VSU with a berth to the state championship game on the line. Telfair County ends their season at 18-10, with four of their losses coming against Turner County.
